The Don District Salmon Fishery Board Staff duties vary throughout the year. The main roles the Bailiffs undertake is policing the 82 miles of the River Don and stocking the system with salmon and sea trout from the hatchery at Strathdon.

Other duties include, Electro Fishing, Redd Counts, Obstacle Removal and Assisting the Trust with Habitat Surveys and the Salmon in the Classroom Project.
