After year and half into the post Jamie is delighted to see the progess made so far within the catchment. Delivery of the FMP is ongoing and various projects from the Plan such as the Salmon in the Classroom project and Scale Sampling programme were a great success.
Current work includes; the River Don Biosecuroty Plan which is due for completion come Jan 2011, the Trust are also to undertake the easement of the Goval weir an obstruction to migratory fish on the Elrick Burn catchment by Parkhill in early 2011 and will continue with the habitat and electro fishing surveys.

Jamie has a great interest in all aspects of wildlife and countryside management and is also a keen fly fisherman. Having studied Ecology at Aberdeen University and until recently he held the post as NE Water Vole Conservation Officer,
Following graduation with a BSc. Honours degree Jamie had an Internship with the Mammals Trust UK having been awarded a scholarship. Following a year traveling Jamie became the NE Water Vole Conservation Officer and as such learned many of the skills which he can now apply to his new challenge
